Com sangue latino amazônico nas veias (filho de um uruguaio com uma paraense), o compositor, cantor e multi-instrumentista Bruno Benitez traz nos genes um pouco da mistura que compõe a diversidade cultural paraense.
Criado em Belém, cidade brasileira que absorveu a influência musical latina e caribenha, Bruno desenvolveu essa identidade híbrida desde cedo, enquanto acompanhava seu pai (Daniel Benitez) , também músico, nas rotinas de shows e gravações de estúdio.
Em 1995, aos 15 anos, começou a trabalhar profissionalmente como músico, atuando como cantor e guitarrista em bandas locais, participando de diversos trabalhos musicais incluindo o grupo Mundo Mambo e Arraial do Labioso.
Começa sua discografia em 2014, com o álbum “Coração Tambor”, misturando elementos amazônicos, latino-americanos e afro-brasileiros. Em 2018 lançou seu segundo álbum , “MISCIGENADO”, que acentuou ainda mais as origens musicais e genéticas do artista.
O terceiro álbum foi concebido em 2020, durante o período de isolamento ocasionado pela pandemia. Lançado em março de 2021, o álbum “Tropicodélico” traz uma releitura da identidade latina do artista, onde a execução musical busca aproximar os ritmos latinos do sotaque musical paraense, trazendo também elementos da sonoridade psicodélica e vintage para ritmos como a cúmbia e o merengue, resultando num álbum extremamente dançante, alternando letras que chamam pro salão a outras que provocam a consciência crítica.
Artistas como Nazaré Pereira, Ronaldo Silva, Allan Carvalho, Félix Robatto e Banda Na Cuíra fizeram participações (feats) nos álbuns de Bruno Benitez, que sempre busca fortalecer sua conexão com a sonoridae amazônica e com os artistas latinos, tendo também regravado a música "Seguir Girando" do cantor e compositor uruguaio Pájaro Canzani.
With Amazonian Latin blood in his veins (son of an Uruguayan father and a woman from Pará), the composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Bruno Benitez brings in his genes a bit of the mixture that makes up the cultural diversity of Pará.
Raised in Belém, a Brazilian city that absorbed Latin and Caribbean musical influences, Bruno developed this hybrid identity from an early age, while accompanying his father (Daniel Benitez), also a musician, in the routines of concerts and studio recordings.
In 1995, aged 15, he started working professionally as a musician, performing as a singer and guitarist in local bands, participating in several musical works including the group Mundo Mambo and Arraial do Labioso.
He begins his discography in 2014, with the album “Coração Tambor”, mixing Amazonian, Latin American and Afro-Brazilian elements. In 2018, he released his second album, “MISCIGENADO”, which further accentuated the artist's musical and genetic origins.
The third album was conceived in 2020, during the period of isolation caused by the pandemic. Released in March 2021, the album “Tropicodélico” brings a reinterpretation of the artist’s Latin identity, where the musical execution seeks to bring Latin rhythms closer to the musical accent of Pará, also bringing elements of psychedelic and vintage sound to rhythms such as cumbia and merengue , resulting in an extremely danceable album, alternating lyrics that call to the salon with others that provoke critical awareness.
